August 16, 2022 - Practicing daily with the "brace" that I received from the rehabilitation center. The rehabilitation at the rehabilitation center has now come to an end. Unfortunately, the hand will never heal. The grip strength is not even half of my right hand and will unfortunately remain that way.

May 14, 2021 - Today at Dr. N. Brinkman (the attending plastic surgeon). It has been decided that I will continue to rehabilitate for a few months in the 'Hands Center' of the Langeland hospital in Zoetermeer.

May 4, 2021 - Rehabilitation in the 'Handencentrum' of the Langeland hospital. The wrist and hand are still very painful, the functioning of the fingers is slightly better. Walking is very difficult (with a walking stick), going up and down stairs is very difficult, as is getting up.

March 10, 2021 - The results of the CT scan are in. After consultation with Dr. N. Brinkman it has been decided that I will rehabilitate for 2 months in the 'Hands Center' of the Langeland hospital.

February 24, 2021 - The wrist and little finger are still very painful and I can only make a fist half of it. Today at Dr. N. Brinkman visited the 'Hands Center' of the Langeland hospital in Zoetermeer. dr. N. Brinkman is the plastic surgeon who will dispose of the treatment. Walking is still very difficult, climbing stairs is just barely. I walk outside with a walking stick to keep my balance. Physiotherapist Michiel Schamper visits my home once a week to train the leg and foot muscles. After a bed period of 2 months it can take up to 8 months before I will be at my old physical level (recovery muscle mass). As for the left hand, 100% healing is therefore not really likely.
